Stuff The British Stole / Season 3
2D and 3D animation for documentary series
We tell the human stories behind stolen heritage through immersive 3D and motion graphics animation. We look beyond the artifacts themselves to center on the human lives displaced by the British Empire, bringing back forgotten moments through archival documents, period maps, and original character design.
Tea Leaves China
Episode 1
We created custom 3D animations of teapots that visually reconstruct the sacred ritual of tea, showing how something so elegant became the center of a dark history of robbery.

The Cook & the Dead
Episode 2
We used 3D animation to recreate Captain Cook’s journeys and the dramatic moment when his ship breaks apart, bringing this incredible story to life through immersive visuals.

The Rosetta Code
Episode 3
Through motion graphics, we animated the Rosetta Stone's treacherous journey to the British Museum. A dark tale of the Napoleonic Wars, espionage, betrayal, and a stolen trophy of war that ultimately became the absolute key to unlocking ancient Egypt and all its buried knowledge.

Flag Fall
Episode 4
We created custom, medieval art-inspired animations to tell the story of a stolen national identity, centered on the clash over St. George’s Cross and Genoa's fearsome naval myth.

Fire Star Rock
Episode 6
We had the pleasure of animating the wild journey of the Cranbourne meteorite from deep space to Australian lands. By combining 3D elements with motion graphics, we brought to life the intense struggle between the Empire and the Colony as they fought to claim a treasure from another galaxy.

The Zong
Episode 7
In 1781, 132 souls were cast into the ocean by the British Empire, treated not as human lives but as lost cargo for an insurance claim. Through animation, we reconstruct the horror they attempted to drown, restoring the humanity and dignity stolen by the empire.
