Andrés Gómez Isaza
Animation Director / Founder
Andrés is a motion graphics artist and founder of LaFinka. Originally from Medellín, Colombia and now based in Naarm, Melbourne, Australia. He’s been drawing, dreaming and making things for as long as he can remember.
His work includes documentary graphics, title sequences, visual effects, television branding, infographics, concert visuals and music videos. At the heart of it all, he simply loves creating beautiful and impactful visuals. At LaFinka, he wears many hats, from creative director to animator, with the occasional spreadsheet in between.
His short film Butterflies (Mariposas) won the City of Annecy Award at the 2018 Annecy International Animation Film Festival. His credits include award-winning documentaries like Stuff the British Stole, Death Cap Murders and EGO: The Michael Gudinski Story.
Andrés is a father of three crazy and beautiful children, a vegetarian and a dedicated squash player.
